Our Righteous God - Psalm 7

Psalm 7:17

“I will praise the Lord according to His righteousness, And will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.”

In this chapter of Psalm, David begins by acknowledging the Lord as his God, whom he puts his trust in.  In the midst of unfair treatment, David begs God to deliver him and be his defender.  What I noticed to be interesting is, David ends the chapter with verse 17 where He praises God for His righteousness even though he is still in the middle of his trial.  David doesn’t wait for God to answer his prayer before He gives God the praise He deserves.  He leaves his concerns with God.

In my own life, I often praise God after He answers my prayers according to how I wanted them answered.  I am reminded by this Psalm to praise God and acknowledge His righteousness; that He is my God, my Defender, even as I wait on Him.

Off to the Snow We Go!

We finally made it!  Our goal was to go to the snow once this winter, and we did it!  A plus was being able to go with dear friends.  We didn't end up making it to the snow park due to weather conditions, but we found a rest stop that had powder fresh snow and was more than big enough to slide and play in.  Another plus, it was FREE!
**In one of the pictures, Tay and the kids were attempting to create a snow man.  They ended up with a scrawny version of one.  Good try guys!

Child-like Faith...

A few days ago, the kids and I watched the devastation that occurred internationally.  We were witnessing cars, people, buildings being tossed by forces of nature.  As I began to feel a bit of sadness for those whose lives were lost, God used my wonderful little man to remind me of His sovereignty in ALL things.

After viewing the devastation, Offie simply said, "Mom, God protects the peoples, right?" (yes, he said peoples..so cute!)

Through my little boy, God reminded me of His great love, protection, and sovereignty over His creation.
